NCN Pro Skincare Sea Kelp Bioferment (4 oz.)
1. Timeless Coenzyme Q10 Serum
I have added Timeless Coenzyme Q10 Serum into my daily skincare routine every morning and night. What I love about this peptide serum is that it will compliment your other skincare, since peptides are generally safe with other active ingredients as long as it does not contain the peptide Copper, which should be used differently. Timeless Coenzyme Q10 Serum does not contain the peptide Copper, so this peptide serum can be worn with vitamin C. The peptide used in this formula is Matrixyl 3000, a peptide that maximizes the synthesis of collagen in the skin. I starting my morning skincare with Timeless Coenzyme Q10 Serum, adding Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum on top (next product) and finally a sunscreen as my daily protective skincare. Also, if your skin is sensitive to retinol, you can use peptides instead. Peptides also help stimulate collagen in a safe, but more gentle way.

2. Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum
I love Mad Hippie’s Vitamin C Serum because it contains two beneficial ingredients to protect your skin from antioxidants and sun damage: ferulic acid and vitamin C. One of the reasons it’s important to protect your skin from the sun is because “sunlight generates ROS, reactive oxygen species, aka highly dangerous free radicals. This leads to DNA damage, destroys collagen, and can cause cancer” (Dillon, Roxy. “Bio Young”). Ferulic acid (included in Mad Hippie’s Vitamin C Serum) “acts as a UV absorber, stops the formation of pyrimidine dimers, stops the activation of matrix metalloproteinases by sunlight (preventing collagen destruction), controls the browning reaction (glycation), and prevents the formation of AGEs” (Dillon, Roxy. “Bio Young”). Furthermore, ferulic acid combined in a formula with vitamins C and E was shown to completely prevent sun induced damage,” (Dillon, Roxy. “Bio Young”). Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum contains both ferulic acid and vitamin E.

3. MOONLIGHT RETINAL SUPER SERUM
I like to apply Moonlight Retinal Super Serum at night because it contains a form of vitamin A that is a little stronger than retinol, but more gentle than tretinoin or retin-a. The color of retinal or retinaldehyde in its natural form is a bright yellow/orange, and Moonlight Retinal Super Serum’s definitely comes out in a bright orange color. Additionally, Moonlight Retinal Super Serum contains niacinamide, ceramides and green tea. 4. NCN Pro Skincare SEA KELP BIOFERMENT
Next, I have loved adding a marine algae skincare product, NCN Pro Skincare’s Seaweed BioFerment, to my nightly skincare. NCN Pro Skincare’s Seaweed BioFerment is light and hydrating, and the seaweed contains amino acids and trace minerals. In a journal about the use of seaweed in skincare, it says, “these biologically active components present in the seaweeds paves the way to be used as an active ingredient in the cosmetic industries due to their potent skin protection ability. The active components from the seaweeds could be used as an antioxidant, antibacterial whitening agent, anti-aging, and anti-acne, and also for moisturization in cosmetic industries” Potential Use of Seaweed Bioactive Compounds in Skincare—A Review.
I apply NCN Pro Skincare’s Seaweed BioFerment on the nights that I don’t use retinal. 5. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive Eyes Innovation Cream SPF 50
I finally found an eye sunscreen with SPF 50 that doesn’t sting my eyes. La Roche Posay is known as a classic luxury skincare company originating France. La Roche Posay, owned by L’Oreal, owns the patent of the coveted UVA filter mexoryl. La Roche Posay’s sunscreens are effective enough to want to travel to France just to bring them back in your bag. Happy Valentine’s Day 2020! Posted below are the steps to recreate the look that’s posted. You can pull this pink and bronze-y look off in a few easy steps.
HERE IS WHAT I’M WEARING IN THE PICTURES:
FOR THE FACE: YOUR FAVORITE FOUNDATION AND BRONZER.
Apply your favorite foundation and your favorite bronzer. I used liquid foundation CHANEL PERFECTION LUMIÈRE VELVET SMOOTH-EFFECT MAKEUP BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 15 SUNSCREEN. This foundation gives a velvety and dewy finish. I applied a bronzer (without shimmer) right underneath my cheekbones, along my jawline and the two outer corners of my forehead,
FOR THE CHEEKS: PINK BLUSH. Julie Hewett Cheekie: Cheek and Lip Shine Pot - Posie.
Next, dust pink blush onto your cheeks. Choose a pink blush color that is in a similar hue of pink and “strength” of pink as the pink lip color. I dusted Julie Hewett’s pink blush in “Posie” from her “Cheekie Pot” collection. This “cheekie pot” is actually multi-use, so you COULD use this “Posie” on your lips, too.
FOR THE EYES: BLACKEST BLACK BUILDABLE AND VOLUMIZING MASCARA. Then, WHITE SHIMMER ON BROW BONE AND INNER CORNERS OF THE EYES. Le Volume De Mascara - # 10 Noir.
Next, I dusted on a white shimmer cream onto my brow bones and inner corner of the eyes. No eye shadow was used. Then, simply apply the blackest black and buildable mascara you can find. I love Chanels Le Volume De Mascara- #10 Noir because this formula allows you to build and volumize your lashes until they literally look like fake lashes (but healthy).
FOR THE LIPS: PINK LIP BALM. Julie Hewett Los Angeles camellia ruby lip balm.
Apply a pink lipstick or balm, in the same “strength” and hue of pink as the blush. I used Julie Hewett’s Ruby Lip balm, this lip balm includes Camellia oil, a hydrating and moisturizing ingredient for the lips.
FOR THE BODY: BRONZEY BODY OIL. NUXE Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Purpose Dry Oil.
Don’t forget your body! Swipe on a dry bronze body oil for a subtle shimmer and color.
I chose NUXE Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Purpose Dry Oil. I originally found this oil in the pharmacy of France, but you can actually order this product from NUXE off Amazon! NUXE Huile dries onto your body with a DRY finish—not with sticky oil finish. The finish also leaves a subtle bronze-y hue with gold flecks, and it smells like perfume. NUXE Huile contains botanical oils, such as Camellia oil and Borage oil. It is also a multi-purpose oil, which means this product serves more than one purpose. You can dust this bronze-y gold oil into your hair, or even mix a few drops into your foundation.

FOR THE HAIR: MIRACLE FRUIT OIL. MIRACLE FRUIT SEED OIL TREATMENT.
After my hair air dried, I applied a few drops of MIRACLE FRUIT SEED OIL TREATMENT to smooth my hair out and strengthen it. Check out this study and read about the effect miracle fruit seed oil has on the hair! Miracle fruit seed oil helps repair damaged hair AND helps it grow.

Hourglass Cosmetics Makeup Brushes
WHY I LOVE THEM: Oh my gosh. I looooveee Hourglass Cosmetic’s makeup brushes! I have tried so many different makeup brushes from several brands….
Hourglass’s makeup brushes are sooo soft, dense, and do not pull on your skin when applying makeup. The tug and pulling on my skin is something I’ve noticed from most makeup brushes (even high end brands) that I’ve used, especially if it has denser bristles. These brushes are dense, yet STILL so soft with NO tugging and pulling. They also last for years so they’re worth the investment!
HOW TO USE THEM:
No1 Powder Brush (top brush on the right): This brush works great for application of liquid foundation or mineral foundation. I applied Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth-Effect Makeup Foundation with this brush. The bristles are made of Taklon hair, which is more hygienic and kinder to animals (since Taklon is not sourced from animals).
Retractable Foundation Brush (middle brush pictured) This brush is amazing for traveling. It can be used as your regular foundation brush, or bronzer, etc.. This brush is also great for blending in your makeup after application, if there are any harsh lines left over. Also uses soft Taklon bristles.
Ambient Powder Brush I applied my blush with this brush, right under the cheek bones. Also uses soft Taklon bristles. Compact, softttttt, dense bristles and beautiful.
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth-Effect Makeup
WHY I LOVE IT: I’ve tried sooo many foundations and Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth-Effect is my favorite by far! The color blends in seamlessly, no orange tone, and is lightweight, yet still buildable. The finish IS soft like velvet. It’s a great foundation during the day AND going out at night. This works great over sunscreen, bare face, or at night—over a serum or primer. Absolutely love this foundation.
HOW TO APPLY IT: Use an Hourglass foundation brush No1 or their Retractable Foundation Brush to apply, or, your favorite brush, beauty blender, etc.
Alima Pure Lip Tint in “Paprika”
Alima Pure Lip Tint in shade “Paprika”
WHY I LOVE IT: Alima Pure Lip Tints are like beneficial lip balms transformed into rich lip tints. This lip tint is like a skincare makeup hybrid. I love the lip benefitting ingredients in this formula, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, pumpkin seed oil, camellia seed oil, olive oil, punica oil, coconut oil, and more. It’s also preservative free.
HOW TO APPLY IT: I apply this tint with my finger for a lip color enhancing shade. The shades of the lip tints are very rich, and depending how you apply it, it can be worn as a lipstick or a lip enhancing tint.

Yves Saint Laurent’s Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils in shade #04 Fascinating Violet
WHY I LOVE IT: Most of the time when I wear this mascara, someone compliments the color and asks me where I got my mascara. Yves Saint Laurent’s formula in Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils is buildable to create a dramatic lash or can be applied lightweight with one or 2 coats. HOWEVER—the deep violet purple shade is what keeps me loyal and so excited for this mascara year after year. It’s such a deep beautiful shade. It’s a dark deep purple, so the color purple is only noticeable if someone stares closely at your eyelashes in direct sunlight. (This happened a few times while I was wearing this, and in a good way, ends in compliments and asking “what mascara is that?”)
I also mention Yves Saint Laurent’s Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils in shade #04 Fascinating Violet in my blog post “Packing Light for a Girls Trip! Which Essential Products I Picked!”
HOW TO APPLY IT: If you have blue or green eyes you will LOVE this shade. The purple shade enhances blue eye colors. If you have brown eyes, try the burgundy shade. It will enhance your brown eyes.

One of my favorite things is a spa night at home. Below, I will go over a 3-step day spa routine and the long-term benefits backed by research of each step in this at home spa experience. The spa essentials recommended for each step are linked at the very bottom of this blog post. This 3-step spa routine is a simple way to bring the spa home.

Here’s How We Will Bring the Spa Home
Step 1: Stretch.

Step 2: Infrared Sauna Blanket Treatment.

DIY Coffee Body Scrub!
3 ingredient DIY coffee scrub
~Lavender, Coffee and Coconut Oil Body Scrub~
I love this body coffee scrub and it’s so easy to make! It’s definitely an easy, lazy DIY coffee scrub. We’re going to approximate the amount of the 3 ingredients used. Play around with the consistency you like! If you’d like a more moisturizing scrub, add more coconut oil. If you prefer it like a sugar scrub, add more coffee grounds. It’s really that easy!
If you’re a coffee lover, this will put to use the leftover coffee grounds that are left in the coffee filter after you make your morning coffee!
The coffee grounds exfoliate, and the caffeine content in the coffee promotes blood flow.
The coconut oil moisturizes your skin.
The lavender essential oil adds an aromatherapy and relaxing experience to your scrub.
If you would like to stick with organic skincare, simply keep your 3 ingredients organic! :)
What you’ll need:
Organic coconut oil
Organic lavender essential oil
Organic coffee grounds
Coffee Maker
Jar
Directions:
Brew your morning coffee.
Add leftover coffee grounds to your jar.
Add about 1tbsp - 2tbsp of Coconut Oil to the jar with coffee grounds.
Add a few drops of lavender oil to the coconut oil and coffee grounds.
Mix all 3 ingredients together.
Each time you make coffee, keep adding the coffee grounds to the jar, and continue replenishing your coffee scrub jar.
I especially love the smell of coffee, lavender and coconut oil while I’m exfoliating with this scrub in the shower.
