Malibu Beach Day Outfit Essentials for Your Summer 2022 Wardrobe!

It was a beautiful day at El Matador Beach, Malibu. I love the feeling of the beginning of Summer when the sun starts to get a little bit warmer and stays out a little bit longer. I love the feeling of fresh ocean air and natural ocean hair.

Summer clothing is my favorite type of clothing, just because it feels so carefree and truly reflects the southern California aesthetic. Your summer beach outfit can feel like resort wear with a few simple tweaks.

I love large brim hats for long days spent at the beach. Large brim hats are perfect to pair with your favorite sunglasses and make you feel like Brigette Bardot. They are the ultimate sun protection since no umbrella is needed (literally). You can simply hide under the hat and fall asleep, listening to the ocean waves. Or let it fold naturally in half in the front while you’re walking for a relaxed look, or for when you need to drink a martini.

A medium sized straw hat is also perfect for a Malibu beach day outfit. A medium sized hat is like your everyday floppy hat and is still perfect to get some shade from the sun.

I love hand woven bags for the beach. Hand woven bags are something special, because they usually only come out during vacation or summer time. My favorites are made of real straw and are hand woven in secluded beachy places such as Colombia or the little towns in Mexico. When you wear a hand woven beach bag it reminds you of the first breath of fresh air when you land at your destination.

You can’t forget a vibrant bikini. I love how many styles and cuts of bikinis are now available. Gone are the days of the usual triangle top and tie bottoms—although those are all still cute. The new Gucci Rubber Slide sandals in Wild Rose are definitely one of my favorites. I love how easy they are to wear, and how they can be paired with so many outfits—Spring or Summer!

The Emilee Angelic Skort is a versatile skirt, it can be worn with sandals, over the knee boots or heels.

The Simple Spring Makeup Look

The Cle de Peau powder blush in 102 is so pretty, the pigment has a great payoff and does not have a sheen or sparkle. This makes the pigment a great everyday addition.

The Creamy, sheer lip + cheek color in Berry by Milk Makeup is another one of my go-to lip colors. It appears that the color is purple, but the way that the lip color wears, it is like a deep berry. Since the formula of this multiple stick is creamy and sheer and hydrating, the color is perfect for day (and even night). I love the hydrating ingredients in this tint: mango butter, peach nectar and avocado oil.

The Satin Matte Foundation by Alima Pure Cosmetics is my favorite mineral makeup foundation year round. You are guarenteed a perfect shade match since you can order multiple mini samples on their website for about $1.50 each.

I also tried the new Lash it out Loud mascara by Elf Cosmetics. I like how this formula isn’t too heavy and simply enhances your lashes.

The Nars bronzer in Laguna is my go-to bronzer for years. I love how this pigment is “flat” (no sparkle or sheen), so it’s perfect for everyday looks.

This white top that I’m wearing by BCBG is from a few years ago (3 years) so I could not link the exact white crop by BCBG. However another white crop by BCBG with the same material makeup (86% rayon, 13% nylon, and 1% spandex) is linked below. I love this material since it has held up for a few years and still looks like new. I also like the way it fits, a tiny form fitting, but casual for day. Also…you could wear this at night. :)

Many times people assume you can only wear skinny jeans or straight legged pant with thigh highs, but try mixing it up with cargos! Just keep the rest of the outfit simple.

In order to keep your look classy, especially with thigh high snakeskin boots, try pairing your flowy skirt with a long sleeved top. In this case, a turtleneck :)

Where did I shop for these over the knee snakeskin boots? I actually found these in a small boutique on Melrose Ave. They are not name brand or designer, but the quality has still held up well.

As long as you are comfortable and can walk easily!.. and the shape and material are on point, go for it.

Fashion Finds on Amazon 2019 Inspired by NYFW 2020

With New York Fashion Week Spring 2020 coming to a close, there were a few key themes seen across the runways. 8 of the themes include: playing with neon color, long skirts with one high slit paired with a tiny top, black and white contrast outfits, the striking color blue, all neutral outfits with straight-legged baggy pants, head-to-toe snakeskin, florals, and asymmetrical tops.

Rag & Bone NYFW Spring Collection 2020 Men Outfit Inspiration Boards

Hello Men!

Rag & Bone’s NYFW Spring 2020 collection featured beautiful bright blues, greens, oranges and reds—but only a splash of color amid a navy or cream outfit. Rag & Bone’s pinstriped casual long blazer jacket for men was certainly unique, and so was the tailored dark washed jean trucker jacket to its matching dark washed oversized pants.
